🛒 Aldi's Gluten Free Range

Recently in the UK (including Northern Ireland), Aldi began trialling a gluten free range in around 300 stores. This range features both Aldi's own-brand items and popular external brands, including products like gluten free pasta, bread, cereals, and snacks - all at competitive prices.

However, the gluten free range being trialled in the UK is currently way more limited compared to the Republic of Ireland, and availability can vary by store.

In the Republic of Ireland, Aldi offers a dedicated gluten free range under its own brand, The Foodie Market', including staples like bread, pasta, biscuits, and cereals. You'll also find trusted names like Promise Gluten Free, now stocked in Aldi stores nationwide.

Beyond the specific gluten free ranges, Aldi carries many naturally gluten free products - many with a 'Gluten Free' label or logo on the packaging.

🔍 Free From Sections

🚪 Cupboard

In stores with a dedicated Free From section, you'll typically find:

  • 🍝 Pasta & spaghetti
  • 🍞 Bread & rolls
  • 🍰 Cakes & desserts
  • 🥣 Cereal & snack bars
  • 🍺 Beer

Whilst the range is smaller than some other supermarkets, if the trial proves successful, Aldi may roll it out to more stores - with an expanded selection.

🗄️ Chilled

Although Aldi doesn’t have a dedicated gluten free fridge section, there are naturally gluten free options in the chilled aisles, such as:

  • 🍗 Breaded chicken
  • 🌭 Sausages & burgers
  • 🧆 Savoury snacks
  • 🍝 Ready meals
  • 🍮 Desserts

❄️ Frozen

Again, no exclusive GF freezer section, but look out for:

  • 🍟 Potato products (wedges, hash browns, chips etc.)
  • 🍦 Ice cream and lollies
  • 🍨 Desserts

🥪 Gluten Free Meal Deals

Aldi doesn’t offer a formal meal deal like some other supermarkets, but in the 'Food to Go' section, you'll find salads, wraps, sandwiches, and sushi. Unfortunately, there are no gluten free sandwiches or wraps (yet!), but some sushi options are gluten free, including the soy sauce, but this varies by pack, so always double check labels. There are also some salad and bowl options that are gluten free.

❗ Always double-check labels, particularly on meal deals, as availability and ingredients can vary.

✌🏻 Naturally Gluten Free Products
